Continuing Coach Education

The supervision of professionals is often a talking matter. The supervisee presents their case load or the questions they have arising from their work, and supervisor and supervisee explore these together through conversation.Ā Human beings, though, experience their work and learn about their work in multi-faceted ways. The marks of encounters are felt in the body; visual images can help identify and express emotions and relational dynamics; clarity about roles, boundaries and risks can be explored narratively and experientially.

Through the psychodramatic techniques of embodiment, projection and role, creative supervision has evolved from the supervision of arts therapists into a holistic approach for supervising a range of front line practices. In this webinar, experienced supervisor, Dr Jane Leach, will introduce the group to the theory and practice of creative supervision and invite a conversation about how a creative approach might enhance supervisory process and outcomes for coaches and their clients.

Objectives

  • To explore the philosophy and practice of creative supervision
  • To experience some creative supervision in the live space
  • To reflect on how a creative approach can enrich the supervisory process and its outcomes for coaches and their clients
