Lynn Sitanimezi ODC Doctoral Student was invited to participate as a speaker at a day-long symposium at BU. As part of a panel of DEI leaders, she illustrated why creating inclusive workplaces foster psychological safety and offered expert tips on how to create such flourishing work cultures.

Black Media: Reflecting on the Past and Reimagining the Future is a day-long symposium created to highlight Black media professionals and their innovative and important work in the journalism, PR, marketing, advertising, and film industries.

Symposium speakers have broken barriers in their fields, amplified Black voices and stories, and navigated the challenges that still exist for Black storytellers and communications professionals.

Lynn Sitanimezi is a values-based leader committed to building and sustaining diverse and inclusive workplace cultures. She envisions a world where personal and social circumstances are not obstacles to achieving human potential, and where humanity, inclusivity, and conservations succeed. A global speaker, entrepreneur, educator, and DEI leader, her mission is to provide services, tools, and resources that inspire human potential and inclusivity awareness to initiate action in workplaces.

As Principal OD and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion leader at Driven Aligned Leadership Group Canada, she provides high-level solutions and recommendations to leadership teams and supports organizations in transforming and propelling their DEI&B strategies.  Furthermore, Sitanimezi helps leaders intentionally and systematically foster commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI): driving positive outcomes to not only be diversity-ready but inclusive in their leadership practices.

Ms. Sitanimezi is currently a doctoral student in the Organizational Development and Change program at Fielding Graduate University’s School of Leadership Studies.
