Fielding Graduate University doctoral student and CEO of Walnut Creek, CA nonprofit Catalight has been named to the 2023 Forbes 50 Over 50 List of notable women. Susan Armiger, CEO of Catalight, the nonprofit behavioral health care provider, has been honored along with luminaries such as Jamie Lee Curtis, leading autism advocate Dr. Temple Grandin, and Special Olympics CEO Mary Davis.

Susan has had a profound impact on behavioral health treatment. When she joined Catalight’s precursor organization in 2011, it was a small, local nonprofit serving 500 clients with developmental disabilities. Today, the Catalight family of companies provides care to 14,000 individuals and their families, including diagnostic evaluations and treatment for autism and other developmental disabilities. In 2019, Armiger founded the Catalight Research Institute, with the vision to harness a decade’s worth of real-world clinical data to reshape the standards of care for people with developmental disabilities.

Susan earned her doctorate from Fielding’s School of Leadership Studies.
