International Sessions

Students, faculty, and alumni come together in small, regional, or virtual learning groups called professional development seminars. Activities include formal academic seminars, guest presentations, discussions, and informal networking and socializing. Professional development seminars provide an intensive, nurturing, and personal learning environment.

The nature of the professional development seminars and activities varies according to the needs of its members and students are encouraged to attend regularly.

CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY DOCTORAL PROGRAM ONLY:

Professional development seminars are composed of a faculty member and all students from a geographic region. Professional development seminars meet in person on a monthly basis. The schedule for each meeting is decided jointly by students and faculty and can consist of an invited speaker, academic discussions, case presentations, research projects, dissertation supervision and other activities that promote professional socialization. Regular professional development seminar attendance is required early in the program as part of the residency requirement.
