Stop AAPI HateThe horrific events in Atlanta have once again focused our attention on the urgent need to create an antiracist culture.  We find the increasing incidence of harassment, heinous violence and hate crimes targeting Asians, Asian Americans, and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) an appalling disgrace to our moral values as global citizens as well as Americans. The racist, xenophobic rhetoric aimed at AAPI people has led to suffering and victimization, as is always the result of racism and xenophobia. As representatives of the Fielding community we actively stand in solidarity with our AAPI Fielding colleagues and with the entire AAPI community against these incidents and those who perpetrate them. From its inception Fielding as an institution and as a community has been steadfastly committed to the achievement of social justice, diversity, equity and inclusion.   By our actions as scholars and practitioners, teachers and learners, trustees and administrators, we must together work tirelessly to advance antiracism and in doing so achieve racial equity, inclusion and assure the safety and respect of all individuals in our diverse communities.
