Final edition of ‘Fielding Scholar Practitioner’ publishes on Kindle & more

Fielding University Press is pleased to announce that the final edition of our special Anniversary monograph The Fielding Scholar Practitioner is now published in both print and E-book formats.

Conceived to celebrate Fielding’s 45th anniversary, the book contains 42 contributions from alumni, students, board members, administration, and faculty.

  • In the first section, alumni write about how their evolution from practitioner to a Fielding scholar-practitioner inspired their life’s work, and discuss their specific fields and research as they pertain to social change.
  • The second section is dedicated to the fascinating story of how Fielding took shape as an independent graduate school. Faculty members explore learner-centered education, the culture of scholarship and social justice, and adult transformative education.
  • The last section highlights students and faculty working together on mentoring, personal transformation, and specific areas of research.
  • Finally, Dr. Pam McLean, the long-time partner of our founder, Dr. Frederic Hudson, concludes with an afterword. All told, the tales we tell provide a small sampling of the rich, complex tapestry that is Fielding.

The Fielding Scholar Practitioner is available in paperback for $19.95.

The E-book for Kindle devices and apps is $9.95.

The E-book for iPad, iPhone, Samsung, and Google tablets is also $9.95. This version (in the “ePUB” format) will also be made available on the Apple iBooks network, Barnes & Noble online, and other online networks in the coming weeks.

Thank you to all who contributed to this important book!
