The Fielding community is invited to “A Publishing Workshop with Jean-Pierre Isbouts, D.Litt.: Print and E-Book Publishers in the U.S.” on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. PST | 12:30 -2:30 p.m. EST. This presentation is hosted by the Fielding Alumni Association.
Dr. Isbouts is a long-term faculty member, director of Fielding University Press, National Geographic best-selling author, historian, and award-winning film director. In November 2021, he was named Faculty Emeritus in the School of Leadership Studies.
This workshop is part of a quarterly series of seminars specifically devoted to the art of argumentation in preparation for alumni and students publishing their research, including their dissertation. The workshops are designed for a general audience of scholar-practitioners.
The common thread of all seminars is the art of argumentation. The series is supported by the Jean-Pierre Isbouts Endowed Fund for Lifelong Learning. After two Fielding experiential learning trips with Dr. Isbouts, Rome to Jerusalem (2019) and Egypt (2021), Fielding alum Pauline Albert, Ph.D. (’09), pledged a gift to establish the Jean-Pierre Isbouts Endowed Fund for Lifelong Learning. The Fund’s purpose is to foster and strengthen lifelong learning for the Fielding alumni and donor community.
From Sept. 16-23, 2023, The Endowed Fund for Lifelong Learning will host its Six Perfect Days in Vienna. The trip includes a stay at Vienna’s famed Bristol Hotel; visits to the Belvedere Palace Museum, the Spanish Riding School, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Baroque Schönbrunn Palace, the House of Music; a day trip to Klosterneuburg; meals with local specialties; and more sights and opportunities. For more package costs and more information about what’s included, please contact Director of Development and Community Relations Elena Nicklasson at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note: This tour is limited to 20 people, so be sure to book early.
