Alyson MichelAlyson Michel is a doctoral student in Fielding's media psychology program. She is a psychotherapist and life coach in Los Angeles and was recently interviewed on ABC News ' "Money Matters." The topic was what Michel describes as "roommate therapy," pertaining to a common concern of her UCLA students. Watch the interview now.

Three Fielding leaders have recently been in the news in Santa Barbara.

President Judith L. Kuipers was named one of Santa Barbara’s Top 50 Women in Business and Education by the Pacific Coast Business Times. View the PCBT article and a congratulatory note from Fielding .

Charles McClintock, dean of the School of Human & Organization Development, was appointed to the Advisory Board of KCLU, a National Public Broadcasting affiliated radio station. Read the announcement of his appointment.

Provost Anna DiStefano has been chosen to be the keynote speaker at an April forum sponsored by California State University, Channel Islands. The event, “Educational Justice: Gender Equity and Social Change” is the second in a series around issues raised at the Beijing International Women’s Conference in 1995. Those issues include health, violence, and the environment. It was announced that DiStefano will speak on gender equity in education.
