The Clinical Psychology PhD Program is the only program of its kind to be accredited by The American Psychological Association (Committee on Accreditation, c/o Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation, APA, 750 First Street NE, Washington, DC 20002-4242; (202) 336-5979).

Fielding Graduate University is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Fielding is a member of the National Council of Schools of Professional Psychology (NCSPP), the Council for the Advancement of Experiential Learning (CAEL), the Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology (COGDOP), the Federation of Behavioral, Psychological, and Cognitive Sciences (FBPCS), the American Council on Education (ACE), and the Council of Graduate Schools (CGS) in the United States.

Graduates of Fielding's doctoral program in Clinical Psychology have been admitted to licensure examinations in most states.

Fielding students are eligible to apply for federally insured student loans.

Fielding Graduate University is approved by The American Psychological Association to offer continuing education for psychologists. The Fielding Graduate University maintains responsibility for the program.

The Fielding Graduate University is an approved Mandatory Continuing Education for Psychologists (MCEP) Provider (provider number FIE003). The Fielding Graduate University is also approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (provider number 5941).
