Admission | Program Goals & Objectives | Academics | Clinical Training Individuals with a strong academic and professional background and those who have demonstrated evidence of exceptional potential to make a contribution to the field of clinical psychology are encouraged to apply. The program values creativity, scholarship, and an independent spirit in the discovery of new knowledge. Applications are evaluated according to a compensatory model. That is, extensive competencies and/or experience in some areas can compensate for limited competencies in other areas. Please note, unlike our other programs, the Clinical Psychology doctoral program accepts applications only from persons residing in the contiguous United States (except Kansas, Oregon and Oklahoma) and in Canada. The program is not offered to students residing in Hawaii, Alaska, or overseas because practicum and internship placements require specific program features and on-site supervision arrangements that we cannot provide outside the contiguous United States and Canada. We are unable to accept students from Oregon and Oklahoma due to state regulations that serve to restrict clinical training opportunities there. A Psychology Program application packet can be obtained from the Admission Office. The packet contains a description of the admission process, a list of admission criteria, and application and recommendation forms. Admission Process |
