Fielding’s Neuropsychology post-doctoral certificate program combines face-to-face student-faculty cluster group meetings with independent study and online resources available at any time. Our vibrant learning community supports our students with small group faculty-student interactions that are collegial, collaborative, and respectful. These blended, distributed learning elements combine to help you achieve your educational and professional goals.
Cluster Group Meetings
During each year of the two-year program, you complete 3 courses in the curriculum (one per term). You meet with your fellow students and your faculty face-to face approximately 10 times per year in order to gain instruction and training in the coursework.
These cluster group meetings are guided by your faculty and practicing neuropsychologists, many of whom have published widely and made significant contributions to the field. For more, information on these weekends, see residency requirements.
Independent Study
Between class cluster meetings, you complete assignments and practice test administration, scoring and interpretation. At the end of each neuropsychological assessment course, you are required to submit a professional work sample.
Online Resources
You have access to online seminars and forums, and our robust online library resources through the Fielding Education Link and Information eXchange (FELIX).
Our electronic tools and resources support diverse activities such as:
- Online library filled with databases, books, and journals in your field, and a supportive library services staff.
- Collaborative research that enables faculty to supervise students with common research interests who live in different parts of the country
- Group discussion forums that enable students from each cluster to communicate with one another on academic, administrative and personal topics of interest
