The Evidence Based Coaching (EBC) concentration is designed for OMD students who are interested in becoming coaches. Evidence based coaching links theories and research from appropriate disciplines—including psychology, communication, and organizational studies—with current coaching techniques.
Students who choose the EBC concentration take the four OMD core courses (OMD 601, 602, 603, 604) plus:
- Three EBC-specific courses (OMD 650A, 651A and 652A) in lieu of three electives
- Three terms of telephone based skills training (OMD 650B, 651B and 652B)
- Participate in two face-to-face events which include a final exam in the form of a demonstrated coaching engagement (OMD 654, 655 and 656)
All other OMD program requirements apply.
