To be eligible for the PhD in Human and Organizational Systems program or the PhD in Human Development program, you must have the following:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or an equivalent international degree
- Excellent English reading and writing skills
- Evidence of ability to complete doctoral level work
Evaluation ––> What does the Admission Committee look for?
The Admission Committee evaluates the following criteria:
- Critical thinking and writing skills
- Ability to function as an independent learner
- Clear statement of professional goals
- Professional and/or academic achievements and activities
- Maturity and self-awareness as expressed in autobiography and interview
- Computer competence
- Time and resources to attend cluster meetings and sessions
- Activity in and contributions to one’s profession and community

Decisions and Interviews ––> How will the admission decision be made?
Once you have submitted your complete application portfolio, you will be notified by e-mail that it is ready for review. Applications are reviewed by the Admission Committee for this program twice a year. The committee evaluates which applicants will continue on in the process by interviewing with a faculty member.
Most interviews are conducted by phone, and if you are selected, you will receive a letter with instructions for scheduling your interview. After the interview phase, the Admission Committee makes the final decisions. You will receive a letter indicating whether you will or will not be invited to attend the next New Student Orientation (NSO).
Enrollment ––> How do I accept an offer of admission?
If accepted, you will receive a link to our online enrollment web site containing your admission agreement and tuition payment forms, travel and accommodations information, and orientation schedule. You will need to confirm your attendance about four weeks prior to the online orientation session by returning your admission agreement and making an initial tuition and NSO fee payment.
