The School of Human and Organizational Development (HOD) offers a multidisciplinary path to scholarship for professionals who want to expand their knowledge, improve their research skills, and create a more reflective practice, with a guiding principle of social responsibility. Since its inception, the School of HOD has emphasized the integration of adult and organizational development as a means to diversity and change. Scholars use this knowledge to inform relevant action, discover theoretical insight, and strengthen the human experience.

Flagship doctoral programs in Human and Organizational Systems and Human Development combine individual mentoring, small group study, localized seminars, and conference-based workshops to support scholarly research. Optional concentrations encourage focused study in:

  • Information, Society, and Knowledge Organizations
  • Transformative Learning for Social Justice
  • Aging, Culture, and Society

The Master of Arts in Organizational Management and Development program uses online learning tools for intensive peer-to-peer and student-faculty engagement in professional problem solving.

Graduate certificate programs in Evidence Based Coaching, Integral Studies, Sustainability Leadership, and Healthcare Leadership link practical theories with immediately applicable tools.

Continuing Education Certificates and Professional Development Courses offer study in specialized fields, with delivery tailored to the needs of today’s working professional.

Our Centers and Initiatives provide a means to unite scholarship and real-world practice.
