The public dialogue is part of a two-day workshop on Leadership for Health Care Change through Public Dialogue being held at Royal Roads University in Victoria. The public dialogue will be moderated by CBC journalist Jo-Ann Roberts and will focus on comparing and understanding the Canadian and US health systems, changes occurring in each, and the role of public dialogue. Panel participants include:
The session will be broadcast live via Internet stream in real time starting at 9:00 a.m. PDT through an online webinar platform and will be recorded for possible later broadcast on CBC Radio One. The Canadian and US health systems are in a state of change, leading to some convergence. This workshop is seeking to promote a deeper understanding of the two systems, and the challenges they face, to see what mutual learning can take place for the benefit of both. It will also look at key levers for transformation in the form of public engagement and leadership.
