Its goal is to enhance the diversity of Fielding with a special emphasis on increasing the presence of people of color who have been traditionally underrepresented in the Fielding community. The plan applies to all phases of student recruitment, selection and retention, to staff and faculty employment (including recruitment, appointment, re appointment, and nonrenewal of appointment), and to membership on the Board of Trustees. As the chief executive, the president has final oversight of the plan in all of its aspects. Responsibility for its implementation will rest with the university's Affirmative Action Officer. However, all levels of Fielding Graduate University are expected to make a concerted effort to advance equal opportunities for all persons at Fielding. The full text of the plan can be obtained from Fielding's Affirmative Action Officer. Policy Revised 11/01/1996
