The School of Human & Organization Development
(HOD) offers both the finest mid-career education anywhere and the only
program in Human and Organization Development. Learn more about:

work with faculty in designing creative ways to demonstrate their knowledge
and competence.

The HOD doctoral program offers a distributed approach to graduate
education. Distributed education at Fielding means students can choose
from a variety of learning environments, including independent study,
online seminars, and face-to-face sessions and workshops. They may work
solo or collaborate with other students in their local area or at a distance.
The only required face-to-face residency is our five-day New Student Orientation.

The doctoral curriculum
draws from a range of disciplines including:

with faculty to design a course of study that reflects the student's emerging

HOD's accomplished faculty has demonstrated their dedication to the School
of Human & Organization development through their abiding long-term
commitments to the doctoral program and its students. Many faculty members
have been with the program for over a decade. Fielding Graduate University
is one of the few non-profit, independent graduate universities where
the majority of its faculty is full-time. Fielding faculty are scholar-practitioners
who understand the importance of integrating academic knowledge with an
understanding of real world problems.
In addition to a faculty mentor, each student has access
to a full range of academic support services, including Fielding's networked
learning community, extensive online library, and specialized research
resources .

Regular information sessions are held in a variety of cities throughout
the country, as well as by teleconference. These sessions provide prospective
students the opportunity to ask questions and participate in discussions
regarding the doctoral programs.
