What
is Integral Studies? [back
to top]
Integral Studies is an attempt to integrate everything that is known about
human potential-physical, psychological, social, and spiritual growth.
It draws on all known systems and models of human growth and inquiry from
ancient cultures and mystics to current breakthroughs in areas such as
cognitive science and evolutionary theory. Researchers in Integral Studies
have applied the Integral approach developed by Integral Institute to
a variety of human activities, from art and business to politics and ecology.
This wide array of applications allows people from different disciplines
to speak the same language, creating a truly integral learning community.
The Integral model offers a way of exploring the complexity of human consciousness
and organization in a way that provides more comprehensive solutions to
today's complex problems. The goal of the Integral approach is to cultivate
body, mind, and spirit in self, culture, and nature.
