This year-long program involves three modes of learning and training:

1. Online Courses (12 weeks long)
2. Telephone training
3. Face-to-face skills training workshops

Online Courses
Three online courses are given throughout the year long program:
1. Evidence Based Coaching: Overview
2. Individual Coaching
3. Leadership and Organizational Coaching

Telephone Training
The online courses are supplemented by 20 telephone training sessions during the year.

There is also a required teleconference orientation prior to commencing the first term.

Face-to-Face Skills Training Workshops

There are three skills training workshops throughout the year: January, May, September, and in January of the following year, for those entering the program in January.

Students entering the program in May will have three skills training workshops, conducted in September, January, and the following May.

Students entering the program in September will have three skills training workshops, conducted in January, May and the following September.

Skills training workshops are normally 2-4 days long and involve instruction and practice in core skills necessary for skilful coaching.

Completion of the year long program entitles participants to:
1. 12 units of graduate credit
2. ACTP certification from the International Coach Federation

The "Graduate Level Evidence Based Coaching Program" at Fielding Graduate University has been accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Accreditation is awarded to programs that meet the rigorous professional standards for coach training programs established by the ICF. Graduation from an accredited program will meet the ICF’s requirements for individual coach certification for student contact learning hours, mentor coaching, and passage of an ICF-approved examination. Accreditation does not warrant or guarantee the effectiveness of the training or the student’s ability to build a successful coaching practice.
