Appreciative Coaching Certificate
Next Program: February 2 - March 29, 2009

In this online course, participants discover and experience the theory, practice and tools underlying Appreciative Coaching, a positive, strengths' based approach to individual change. Appreciative Coaching is rooted in the highly successful organizational change model called Appreciative Inquiry, a philosophy based on the assumption that inquiry into and dialogue about strengths, successes, hopes and dreams are transformational processes. Participants come away with new ways to flourish in their practices and with their clients by affirming a generative approach to change, facilitating a positive view of change, and supporting a spirit of inquiry that brings forth the best in others.

Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is one of the most successful change efforts currently used in business and organizations. Based on AI concepts, authors Ann Clancy and Jacqueline Binkert (Orem, Binkert, Clancy, Appreciative Coaching: A Process for Change) are offering a certificate in Appreciative Coaching through Fielding Graduate University. Appreciative Coaching not only adapts the theory of Appreciative Inquiry to a coaching context, but also offers a positive, unique change process to help clients transform their professional or personal lives.
