Make an unrestricted gift—to be used in the areas of highest priority

Unrestricted gifts have special value because they give Fielding flexibility in allocating funds to areas of highest priority or toward new opportunities as they arise. Fielding uses unrestricted gifts to support a variety of needs, from faculty resources to scholarships and academic programming.

Or, give to a special fund—from scholarships to academic initiatives

When you make your gift to a restricted fund, it will be used as you specify.

Scholarships/Fellowships

A gift to a scholarship or fellowship fund is the most direct way to help individuals with their graduate education and ensure that a Fielding education is within reach of talented, motivated students.

Special Initiatives

Your gift to a special fund contributes to an enriched educational experience for the entire Fielding community. Choose to support a program or initiative that holds particular interest for you, from the Alonso Center for Psychodynamic Studies to the Worldwide Network for Gender Empowerment.

A word about endowed funds

Gifts to Fielding endowed funds are carefully invested as part of the fund’s principal, or endowment. The interest earned on the principal serves as a secure, predictable, and permanent source of income for Fielding. As the endowment grows, so does the interest income stream.

Types of Fielding Endowment Funds:

General Fielding Endowment – unrestricted endowed funds that provide a solid financial base, ensuring that future students continue to benefit from the life-changing Fielding experience.

Named Endowment Funds - established for a variety of purposes, including scholarships.

Starting your own endowed fund

You may wish to consider honoring another individual or giving your own name to a Fielding endowed fund. Please contact Chief Development Officer Anne Kratz about creating a visible and lasting reminder of your dedication to Fielding, at 805.898.2926 or akratz@fielding.edu.

If you are considering a gift to Fielding, or have already made a gift, thank you!
