It generally takes 2 - 3 months, from the point that you submit your complete financial aid application, until Fielding receives your first financial aid disbursement on your behalf. 1. COMPLETE YOUR FAFSA at: FAFSA on the Web. This process requires you to use a PIN OR print and send a signature page to the federal government. If you do not have access to a printer or you do not have a PIN, please contact the Financial Aid Office at Fielding. We can send you a paper FAFSA Application. 2. COMPLETE the corresponding Financial Aid Handbook for the FAFSA you completed:
3. COMPLETION REVIEW: If your application is incomplete, FAO emails, mails or calls you regarding missing forms. You will receive an email once your application is complete. 4. ELIGIBILITY AND ACCURACY REVIEW: When your application is complete, FAO performs verification on it to check its accuracy and eligibility. If FAO has questions, FAO will email or call you regarding accuracy or eligibility. Please check email/voice mail regularly because there may be issues with the accuracy or eligibility of your forms. All conflicts of data must be resolved. You may have to make corrections to your FAFSA/SAR and/or submit supporting data to the FAO. 5. CERTIFICATION: FAO certifies your student loan and submits it electronically to your guarantor and/or lender. 6. AWARD LETTER: FAO sends you an award letter detailing your financial aid award. This is your opportunity to decline all or part of your student loan. 7. Completing your Master Promissory Note (MPN): For new financial aid students only, the guarantor mails you a Master Promissory Note (MPN) for signature. You must have a PIN and electronically sign your online MPN or paper MPN return MPN to your guarantor or lender. Please do not electronically sign your MPN prior to completing your financial aid file at Fielding Graduate University. If you need assistance on how to e-sign your MPN,
please review the Stafford
Loan Application Process presentation. Select your lender of choice based on front end and back-end incentives from your lender. 8. DISBURSEMENT: Lender sends financial aid to Fielding electronically. FAO deposits financial aid into your student account. FAO emails you regarding your financial aid disbursement arrival and the net amount of disbursement. 9. DELIVERY: Student Accounts deducts any
