International students studying at Fielding may be eligible to apply for alternative loans through private lenders. Generally, international students need to have a US citizen or permanent resident cosigner to obtain these loans. Private loans have varying terms and conditions. Please do not agree to any loan until you have a full understanding of your responsibilities. Please feel free to investigate the following options:

• Chela Financial, School-Certified Loan
• SunTrust, eMax Loan
• Citibank's CitiAssist loan
• International Education Finance Corporation (uses Bank of America or Educaid)
• International Student Loan Program

Use your own internet scholarship search power! Try a search engine such as www.google.com. In the search bar, type scholarships, grants, fellowships and list your attributes, such as your culture/ethnicity, race, sex, physical attributes, hobbies, etc. An example would be "scholarships, graduate student, German, woman, disabled" or "grants, graduate student, Indian, school psychology", etc. Try multiple combinations.

The Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program accepts applications from resident nationals or residents of an eligible IFP country or territory, and fellows are selected based on the strength of their clearly-stated intention to serve their communities and countries of origin—the Ford Foundation expects that they will honor this obligation.
