Final Oral Review

Your Final Oral is an exciting event. Please take the time to help us carefully plan it for you.

The deadline for requesting a Final Oral is the registration deadline – May 2, 2008, 5pm PDT. If you are attending the session only to present your Final Oral there is no session attendance fee.
Prerequisite:

  • Verify with the Chair and Associate Dean of your committee that you are ready to schedule your Final Oral.
  • Contact Elyse Kutz, Dissertation Administrator at eakutz@fielding.edu, to be sure your dissertation file is complete.

Requesting and Preparing for your FOR

  • Complete the registration form (even if you are not attending any seminars) and check the appropriate box by the registration deadline, May 2, 2008, 5pm PDT.
  • Make certain to list your committee members and their positions on your committee.
  • Ensure your complete dissertation draft is distributed to your full committee no later than May 2, 2008. Verify with your Chair that this date is acceptable for adequate review. Notify Elyse Kutz that you have sent the draft to your committee.
  • Have all of your audiovisual requests to Candace Lopez at clopez@fielding.edu by May 2, 2008.
  • By the deadline of May 2, 2008, please email the items listed below to Stacey Hart at shart@fielding.edu. We will be using this information to produce a Final Oral booklet, which will be distributed at your Final Oral Review. Please do not use any unnecessary or design-related formatting in your submission.

-Your name -Your full dissertation title
-Your bio (200-300 words)
-Your abstract (200-300 words) - it may be the same as in your dissertation
-Full list of committee members including their position on your committee
If you have special circumstances that mean you will be at session on only 1 day then please email Stacey Hart at shart@fielding.edu detailing the reason for and necessity of your requested day and/or time. Please send in your special circumstance by May 2, 2008 and remember that it may not be possible to comply with this request.

We will post a list of requested meetings on the PSY Program Forum by May 15, 2008. Please be sure to check this list to make certain that your name is on it.

We will post a list of the scheduled meetings on the PSY Program Forum, which will include the day and time assignments by May 26, 2008. It is very important that you check this list and let Stacey Hart know if you have any conflicts.

Due to the volume of email received please refrain from inquiring about your scheduled time before the list is posted on the forum on May 26, 2008.
