Final Oral Review

The deadline for requesting a Final Oral is the registration deadline – May 11, 2008

If you are attending the session only to present your Final Oral there is no attendance fee. However, you must do the following:

Complete the registration form (even if you are not attending any seminars) by the registration deadline, May 11, 2008.
Make certain to list your committee members and their titles on your committee.
Verify with the Chair of your committee that you are ready to schedule your Final Oral.
Contact Elyse Kutz, eakutz@fielding.edu, to be sure your dissertation file is complete.
Your complete dissertation draft should be distributed to your full committee no later than April 28, 2008. Verify with your Chair that this date is acceptable for adequate review. Notify Elyse Kutz that you have sent the draft to your committee.
Please include the items listed below in your registration form. We will be using this information to produce a Final Oral booklet, which will be distributed at your Final Oral Review. Please do not use any unnecessary or design-related formatting in your submission.

Your name
Your full dissertation title
Full list of committee members including their position on your committee

You will also need to email the following items to Tiffani Chan tchan@fielding.edu by May 11, 2008:

Your bio (200-300 words)
Your abstract (200-300 words) – it may be the same as in your dissertation

If you have a special request for the day and/or time of your final oral review, please enter this in the space provided on the registration form. This does not guarantee your requested day and/or time; however, we try our very best to satisfy all requests. Due to faculty schedules and the number of meetings to be scheduled we may not be able to accommodate everyone's request.

If you have special circumstances that you are only able to attend the session on a particular day, please email Tiffani Chan at tchan@fielding.edu with this information by May 11, 2008.

We will post a list of requested Final Oral Reviews on the EdD Community Forum by May 23, 2008. Please be sure to check this list to make certain that your name is on it.

We will post a list of the scheduled Final Oral Reviews on the EdD Community Forum, which will include the day and time assignments on June 6, 2008. It is very important that you check this list and let Tiffani Chan (tchan@fielding.edu) know if you have any conflicts.

Due to the volume of email received, please refrain from inquiring about your scheduled time before the list is posted on the forum on June 6, 2008.
