Fielding Graduate University takes pride in offering a comprehensive benefits package designed to address the varied needs of a diverse workforce. Benefits include the following:

Medical Insurance

We offer a choice between a nationwide PPO plan or a California HMO plan for eligible employees and their spouses, life partners and/or dependents.

Dental Insurance

We offer a low and high option PPO plan for eligible employees and their spouses, life partners and/or dependents.

Vision Insurance

We offer a nationwide PPO plan for eligible employees and their spouses, life partners and/or dependents.

Flexible Spending Accounts and Pre-Taxed Healthcare Premiums

Set aside pre-taxed earnings to pay for your portion of premiums and to reduce your out-of-pocket health and dependent care expenses.

Childcare Assistance

Funded through a dependent care flexible spending account, Fielding contributes up to $170/month per child through age ten to help offset the costs of providing childcare for your family.

Life/AD&D, and Long Term Disability Insurance

Fielding provides 100% of the cost of life insurance and long term disability insurance for eligible employees.

Employee Assistance Program

A confidential counseling program available to administrative employees and family members.

Tuition Benefits

We offer a significant reduction in tuition for all Fielding academic programs for eligible employees and their family members. In addition, we offer employees the opportunity to receive tuition reimbursement assistance when attending other accredited educational institutions.
 

Retirement Plan

For eligible employees, Fielding Graduate University guarantees a contribution of 5% of eligible earnings after the completion of your first year and 10% beginning the third year. Employees are not required to contribute their own pay in order to receive Fielding's contribution! In addition, eligible employees are able to defer their own earnings into an individual 403(b) Group Supplemental Retirement Annuity retirement plan upon hire.

Time Off

Administrative employees enjoy a 37.5 hour work week and receive 20 days vacation per year, 14 paid holidays per year and 12 paid sick days per year. Faculty receive two months of paid leave time per year and are eligible for sabbatical. Fielding also offers maternity/paternity leave, paid jury/witness leave and bereavement leave.

Coastal Housing Partnership

Our institutional membership in the Coastal Housing Partnership provides assistance to employees who are buying or refinancing a home in the Santa Barbara area.
