Fielding Graduate University's School of Educational Leadership & Change is pleased to announce a new online course to be available this summer for educators looking to expand their skills in the world of teaching online. The developers of Fielding's Teaching in the Virtual Classroom (TVC) have created a stand-alone course to both supplement the curriculum of TVC, and to make a stand-alone, graduate-level course available to those who need units to renew credentials, pursue a tenured position, or simply to be eligible for a raise.

Course Description

One of the most difficult tasks for the online instructor is to assess student performance. How does the instructor who wants to move away from the use of tests and quizzes develop assessment techniques that measure student knowledge? This 4-week intensive course will review and discuss assessment basics and then look at alternative means of assessment, such as authentic assessment, by which instructors can assess student performance online.
