Master of Arts in Collaborative
Educational Leadership (MA-CEL) with Preliminary Administrative Services
Credential (PASC) qualifying courses
The combined MA-CEL degree and Preliminary Administrative Services Credential
is designed to prepare educators to become instructional leaders in a
collaborative learning community environment. The MA-CEL meets five weekends
a semester over four semesters. The MA-CEL program is 36 units or 4 semesters,
including 27 units for the credential program. Students must declare their
candidacy to PASC by the last weekend of the first semester. 30 of the
36 graduate units articulate into the EdD program at Fielding.
Preliminary Administrative Services Credential
(PASC) qualifying courses only
The Preliminary Administrative Credential consists of 27 graduate units
over three semesters. Sessions will be held in conjunction with the Master's
Learning Community in your area, meeting five weekends per semester over
three semesters. Required for the credential is in-depth fieldwork with
an Administrative Mentor under the supervision of a Field Supervisor and
in collaboration with a school district. For those students who have previously
earned a Master's Degree, 20 graduate units earned toward the Preliminary
Administrative Credential articulate into the EdD program at Fielding.
Master of Arts in Collaborative
Educational Leadership (MA-CEL) with a Concentration in Charter School
Leadership and Preliminary Administrative Services Credential (PASC) qualifying
courses
In collaboration with the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA)
and Partnerships to Uplift Communities, Inc. (PUC), the MA-CEL offers
a concentration in Charter School Leadership. Designed to prepare educators
to become instructional leaders in a collaborative learning community
environment, this concentration offers learning experiences specific to
charter school leadership and development. The MA-CEL program is 36 units,
including 27 units for the credential program. 30 of the 36 graduate units
articulate into the EdD program at Fielding.
