Q. Is financial aid available?
[back to list of questions]
A. Yes, helpful information regarding the Stafford loan program can
be found within the loan
program pages of the financial aid section of our Web site.
The financial aid handbook and application forms can be
downloaded as a PDF
from the financial
aid application section of our Web site.
Q. What are the expenses for books
and materials? [back
to list of questions]
A. You can expect to pay $200 to $300 for books and materials per
semester. Because this program is different, rather than everyone buying
one or more texts per semester, you will rely more heavily on trade books,
journal articles, and some copied materials. You will also learn from
other students' reading because personal readings are often shared with
LC groups. Therefore, how much you spend will depend on whether the books
and journals you want are available in your school's professional library,
the public library, the Fielding online library, or that of a colleague,
and whether or not you want your own copies. Over the course of the first
year, the LC will read 10 to 12 trade books and/or texts. Each book will
be current and applicable to your classroom or work setting. You can purchase
your books online at Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, or other sources you
may have used in the past.
Q. What library resources does Fielding
make available to me as a student? [back
to list of questions]
A. Fielding Graduate University Library Services provide a "virtual
library". Please review the Library
Services overview page for specific details.
