Marlon Hall, ELC student, participated at the Thomas Lakin Institute for Mentored Leadership, a prestigious American Association of Community College Trustees program for professional development. The program is specifically designed for African American leaders in education whose very next position would be that of president or the most senior in the institution. The Lakin Institute is sponsored by the Presidents Roundtable, an Affiliate of American Association of Community Colleges and the National Council of Black American Affairs. British Columbia, CA for winning the Outstanding Research Award for the
Wholistic Education Special Interest Group of the American Educational
Research Association for 2001! She received the award in Seattle at AERA
International Conference. The research for which she received the award
was her dissertation.
