Stacey fits the mold of a traditional Fielding graduate. After an extensive career as a program director and dj at radio stations up and down the East Coast, she decided to pursue her true vocation and become a clinical psychologist. At the time her daughter was just two years old, and Fielding was "a perfect fit on many levels." She describes her Fielding experience as collegial and supportive, and is dismayed at the disconnection from Fielding she perceived in her peers and colleagues. Consequently, when Stacey was invited to serve on the Alumni Council in 2006, she agreed as she saw it as an opportunity to effect a change. Since then she has been exploring ways to re-engage alumni; she uses the FELIX forums to post internship opportunities, in the hope that this will evolve into a regional referral system built and sustained by a network of psychology program alumni. Stacey says her experience on the Alumni Council has enabled her to appreciate the unique perspectives each program brings to shared objectives and common goals.
Stacey lives with her husband of 15 years, Pete, and their 12 year-old daughter, Caroline, in New Haven, CT. Last Updated: 3/20/08 |
