Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I update my contact information aka 'Fielding Profile'?
A: Fill out this Contact Information Update form (PDF).

Transcripts

Q: How do I request transcripts?
A: Requests for academic transcripts must be made in writing to the Registrar's Office. Academic transcript requests will be processed within 10 business days upon receipt of the request in the Registrar's Office.

Diplomas

Q: What do I need to do to get a new Fielding Graduate University diploma?
A: In addition to your request for the new diploma (which must be a signed request, in writing, by fax, postal mail or authorized email address), the Registrar’s Office requires a $50 diploma fee paid in advance by either check, money order or credit card. We also ask that you return your previous diploma under the old name. The old diploma will be destroyed upon its arrival at the Fielding office, so sending it by regular mail is fine. If you are interested, send your
request or inquiry to:

Fielding Graduate University
Attn: Registrar
2112 Santa Barbara Street
Santa Barbara, CA 93105-3538

By email: registrar@fielding.edu
By fax: (805) 687-9793

Q: Why is the diploma re-order fee $50?
A: Our diplomas are of high–quality, with thoroughly embossed type, and mailed in a leatherette cover for permanent storage or display (as opposed to a mailing tube). Also, since the diploma is a ceremonial document, and considering it takes considerable staff time and resources to process a duplicate diploma, the fee is set at $50 to discourage frivolous requests. Actual costs when staff time is factored in are significantly higher than $50.

Q: Does Fielding recommend a vendor for a diploma frame?
A: Yes. Graphic Awards, Inc. has mats with both our old and new Fielding seals and several frame choices.
Contact registrar@fielding.edu or 805.898.4075 to request a copy of the order form
and frame/mat information.
