Anna DiStefano, EdD, Fielding's Provost, as Fielding's Chief Academic Officer, provides academic leadership for the university. In that role, the Provost works in close collaboration with the Deans of each School to further the university's academic mission.

The Provost reports directly to the President of the University. The Provost also works with the Board of Trustees, and in close association with specific Board Committees, i.e., Academic Affairs, Diversity, and Strategy. The Provost submits a semi-annual report to the Board of Trustees every May and October. The Provost is responsible for the following areas of Fielding Graduate University:

Academic Leadership: Working toward continued enhancement of all current Schools, collaborating with Deans of Schools and others in the development of new programs, leading the academic side of the budget process, and enhancement of academic support

Academic Accreditation: Re-accreditation of Fielding Graduate University by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and accreditation processes for the University as a whole with States, Provinces, and relevant professional or other organizations.

Academic Governance: Ensuring Fielding's academic structure and policies are a coherent and easily accessible whole system ensuring faculty and administration collaboration.

Program Development: Developing new initiatives, in collaboration with the Deans, the Executive Vice President and/or the President.

Diversity: Champion for the University's Diversity Priority.
