As champion for the University's Diversity Priority, the Provost is committed to think boldly and take specific actions that will assist us in setting the standard world-wide for embracing diversity. Create a meaningful, measurable definition of diversity that is inclusive of culture, race, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and other identities of difference necessary to:

• Move beyond compliance to learning and change through attracting, retaining, graduating, and honoring a more diverse population of students, faculty, staff alumni, and friends of Fielding.
• Ensure that multi-culturalism and diversity are embodied in all academic programs including course content and faculty, staff and student performance, assessment and accountability.
• Increase diversity-responsive research and funding opportunities.
