About Fielding Graduate University Library Services

Fielding Graduate University's Library Services are designed to fit the university's learning and operational models; for example, there is no central, traditional physical library. And since one of the basic premises of Fielding is that learning is a life-long activity and does not end when students receive their graduate degree, an important goal of Fielding Graduate University Library Services is to help students and faculty with finding the information needed for their academic pursuits - learning, teaching, and research - at Fielding, and afterwards.

We support the Fielding community with reference assistance available during business hours, online resource guides and tutorials available through our website, and live instruction given both in-person at Fielding sessions and online using web conferencing software. Live instruction includes library orientation tours, tips for conducting online research for knowledge assessments, comp exams, and dissertations, and help with searching the library's research databases for full text documents and more. We also provide a subsidized document delivery service to help students and faculty get documents our library does not have, and we provide access to a web-based bibliographic management program at no extra cost as well.
